In coal mining, the most troublesome thing for workers is the "gangue" in the coal seam - these rock layers can make the coal mining machine "stuck" at the least, or directly break the picks, causing shutdowns and maintenance. The key to efficiently breaking the gangue layer is to choose the right picks.

1. Why does the gangue layer hurt the mining equipment?
The gangue layer refers to the mineral layer or rock layer sandwiched in the coal seam, also known as the "stone layer", which is mainly composed of sandstone, limestone and other rocks. When cutting with ordinary picks, three major problems are easy to encounter:

Broken edge: The pick head is broken by hard rock and directly scrapped;

Debonding: The alloy head is separated from the tooth body;

Overheating: Friction generates high temperature, which accelerates the wear of the pick.

According to statistics, the frequency of pick replacement under the gangue condition is more than 3 times that of the normal condition. Therefore, wear resistance + impact resistance are the core criteria for selecting picks.

2. "Three high configurations" of hard rock picks
To fight against the interlayer, the picks must have the following characteristics:

1. High-hardness alloy head
The pick head is made of hard alloy with high tungsten content. The hardness of the YIkuang drill pick alloy head reaches HRA90 or above. This kind of material is like a "diamond drill" for the pick, which can directly crush sandstone and limestone. YIkuang drill uses advanced brazing and quenching technology to firmly embed the alloy head into the tooth body and weld it firmly.

2. High-toughness tooth body
The tooth body forging adopts cold forging technology, and the material is 42CrMo alloy steel. After heat treatment, this steel can withstand hard rock impact and buffer vibration.

3. Highly compatible structure-adaptable to different coal mining machines
The pick type pick (pointed head design) is suitable for splitting hard rock. For example, the U95 coal mining machine pick, with its conical head and alloy composite wear-resistant layer, can reduce the cutting resistance by 30%, which is particularly suitable for medium and thick coal seams with interlayers.

3. Practical recommendation: Which picks are worth buying?
According to the feedback from the front line of coal mines, the following two types of picks have a good reputation:

1. YIkuang drill pick series
Advantages: Imported tungsten-cobalt alloy is used, the alloy head has a large diameter, and can withstand 180 MPa hard rock.
Case: After a coal mine used it, the cutting efficiency of the interlayer was improved.
2. YIkuang drill U95 pick enhanced version
Advantages: "Selected picks for complex working conditions" recommended by the mine manager, wear-resistant, impact-resistant, and long life.
Applicable scenarios: Thin coal seams with a large number of sandstone interlayers, with outstanding wear resistance and impact resistance.
